Product Overview

The Kemet C27.4 series are plastic can packaged film capacitors for AC motor applications. These capacitors are used in series with the start winding of the single phase electric motor, allowing its starting and increasing the torque during operation. Main application fields include air fans, pumps, circulators and low power electric motors. The choice of the capacitor depends on expected life length and the mechanical connection of the user.
  • Capacitance value ranges from 1µF to 60µF
  • Polypropylene is used as a dielectric
  • Operating temperature range -25 to 85°C
  • Rated voltage of 470VAC
  • ±5% standard tolerance
  • Safety Class P0, UL94-V0 disk
  • Class A: 30,000 hrs @ 420Vac
  • Class B: 10,000 hrs @ 470Vac
