Product Overview
The MAX232AESE+T is a +5V powered multichannel RS232 driver/receiver in 16 pin NSOIC package. This higher slew rate device is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. It is particularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. The MAX232A has four sections such as dual charge pump DC to DC voltage converter, RS232 driver, RS232 receiver and receiver/transmitter enable control inputs. The integrated charge pump circuitry eliminates the need for bipolar ±12V supply and enables single supply operation from +5V supply. It is used in interface translation and multidrop RS232 network applications.
