Product Overview
NCV551SN50T1G is an NCP551 series CMOS, low Iq, low-dropout voltage regulator. It is a fixed output low dropout linear regulator powered applications that require low quiescent. It features an ultra-low quiescent current of 4.0A. It contains a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, a PMOS power transistor, resistors for setting output voltage, current limit, and temperature limit protection circuits. It has been designed to be used with low-cost ceramic capacitors and requires a minimum output capacitor of 0.1µF. Typical applications include battery-powered instruments, hand-held instruments, camcorders, and cameras.
- 5.0V nominal output voltage
- Quiescent current is 0.1µA typ (Enable Input = 0V, TA = 25°C)
- Input voltage range from 0 to 12V
- Output voltage is 5.0V typ (TA = 25°C, Iout = 10mA)
- Output voltage temperature coefficient is ±100ppm/°C typ (Vin = Vout(nom.) + 1.0V, VEN = Vin)
- AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP capable
- Line regulation is 10mV typ (Vin = Vout + 1.0V to 12V, Iout = 10mA, TA = 25°C)
- Output voltage temperature coefficient is ±100ppm/°C typ (Vin = Vout(nom.) + 1.0V, VEN = Vin)
- Output short circuit current is 350mA typ (Vout = 0V, 1.4V-2.0V (Vin = 4.0V, TA = 25°C)
- TSOP-5 package, operating ambient temperature range from -40 to 125°C
