Product Overview
AD5551 is a 2.7V to 5.5V, serial-input, voltage-output, 14bit DAC. The DAC output range extends from 0V to VREF. This DAC provides 14bit performance without any adjustments. The DAC output is unbuffered, which reduces power consumption and offset errors contributed by an output buffer. It utilizes a versatile 3-wire interface that is compatible with SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. Application includes digital gain and offset adjustment, automatic test equipment, data acquisition systems, and industrial process control.
- Maximum relative accuracy INL is ±1LSB (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- Maximum differential nonlinearity is ±0.8LSB (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- 3V and 5V single supply operation
- Full 14bit performance
- 0.625mW typical power dissipation (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V, 2.5V ≤ VREF ≤ VDD)
- 1μs typical output voltage settling time (To ½ LSB of FS, CL = 10pF)
- Unbuffered voltage output capable of driving 60Kohm loads directly
- SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE-compatible interface standards, power-on reset clears DAC output to 0V
- 5KV HBM ESD classification
- 8 lead SOIC-N package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
