Product Overview
AD7678 is an 18bit, charge redistribution SAR, fully differential analogue -to-digital converter that operates on a single 5V power supply. The part contains a high speed 18bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, an internal reference buffer, error correction circuits, and both serial and parallel system interface ports. Typical applications include CT scanners, high dynamic data acquisition, geophone and hydrophone sensors, Σ-∆ replacement (low power, multichannel), instrumentation, spectrum analysis and medical instruments.
- Throughput: 100KSPS and INL: ±2.5LSB max
- 18bit resolution with no missing codes and no pipeline delay (SAR architecture)
- S/(N+D): 100dB typ at 2KHz (V REF = 5V) and dynamic range: 103dB typ (V REF = 5V)
- Differential input range: ±VREF (VREF up to 5V)
- On-board reference buffer
- Parallel (18, 16 or 8bit bus) and serial 5V/3V interface
- SPI®/QSPI ™/MICROWIRE ™/DSP compatible
- Power dissipation: 18mW at 100KSPS and 180µW at 1KPS
- 48 lead LQFP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
