Product Overview
HCPL-3150-300E is a single channel, IGBT gate drive optocoupler. It consists of an LED optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. This optocoupler is ideally suited for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control inverter applications. The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the drive voltages required by gate-controlled devices. The voltage and current supplied by this optocoupler makes it ideally suited for directly driving IGBTs with ratings up to 1200V/50A. Applications include isolated IGBT/MOSFET gate drive, AC and brushless DC motor drives, industrial inverters, switch mode power supplies (SMPSs), uninterruptable power supplies (UPSs). Safety and regulatory approval: UL recognized (UL1577), 3750Vrms/1 min, IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5 approved.
- 15kV/µs minimum common mode rejection (CMR) at VCM=1500V
- 1.0V maximum low level output voltage (VOL) eliminates need for negative gate drive
- Under voltage lock-out protection (UVLO) with hysteresis
- Wide operating VCC range: 15V to 30V
- ±0.35µs maximum delay between devices/channels
- Low level output current is 0.6A typ at VO=(VEE + 2.5V)
- High level output current is 0.5A min at VO=(VCC – 15V)
- Propagation delay time to low output level is 0.50µs max at Rg=47ohm, Cg=3nF, f=10kHz, DC=50%
- 300 mil DIP-8 package
- Industrial temperature range from -40°C to 100°C
