Product Overview
The MAX1967EUB+ is a low cost voltage mode PWM step-down controller in 10 pin µMAX package. This DC to DC controller is ideal for a variety of cost sensitive applications. It drives low cost N-MOSFETs for both high side switch and synchronous rectifier. Short circuit and current limit protection is provided by sensing drain to source voltage on low side FET. The device supply outputs as low as 0.8V and it is well suited for DSP cores and other low voltage logic in ultra low cost designs. The MAX1967 can provide efficiency exceeding 90% and can achieve 95% efficiency with optimized component selection. It operates at 100KHz and accommodate aluminium electrolytic capacitors with powdered iron core magnetics in minimum cost designs. It also provides excellent performance with high performance surface mount components. The device is used in graphic card supplies, xDSL modems and routers, cable modems and routers, telecom, networking and termination power supplies.
