Product Overview
The MAX5805BAUB+ is an ultra small, single channel, 12bit buffered output voltage DAC with internal reference and I2C interface in 10 pin µMAX package. An internal reference has a software selectable option of 2.048V, 2.5V or 4.096V. A precision external reference input allows rail to rail operation and presents a 100Kohm load to an external reference. It has an I2C compatible, 2-wire interface that operates at clock rates up to 450KHz. The DAC output is buffered and has a low supply current of 155µA (typical at 3.5V) and a low offset error of ±0.5mV. On power-up, the MAX5805 reset the DAC outputs to zero, providing additional safety for applications that drive valves or other transducers which need to be off on power-up. It includes a user configurable active-low asynchronous input for additional flexibility. This input can be programmed to asynchronously clear or temporarily gate DAC output to a user-programmable value. The active-low asynchronous LDAC input is also included.
