Product Overview
MagI³C current sharing reference design board consists of two MagI³C power modules (171021501) connected in parallel (with 2.5A rated current) with all complementary components needed to achieve current sharing. The two DC-DC converters can be controlled in two modes of operation from the phase shift perspective, namely, interleaved mode (180° phase shift) and non-interleaved mode (0° phase shift). It double the output power and provides better thermal heat distribution (spread hot spots), reduced input and output voltage ripple (interleaved mode) and faster transient performance.
- Integrated low noise clock generator
- Shunt resistors for measuring the input and output current
- Jumper for setting non interleaved and interleaved mode
- Pads for evaluating different input filter configurations
- Conducted and radiated EMI compliant (EN55032)
- Input voltage range from 7V to 50V, output voltage range from 2.5V to 15V
- Output current of 0A to 5A, maximum output power of 75W
- Adjustable switching frequency from 500KHz to 1MHz
- Integrated on-board discrete clock generator and pads for an LC input filter
